The king returns and stamps his authority yet again. It’s just a glimpse but the teaser is cleverly packaged with so many set- pieces. The famous Rajni walk, a passing glimpse of his lady love and a tiny preview of the shades of grey that makes kabali a menace.
The choice of dialogues too deserve a special mention. “Don’t underestimate me to be the meek henchmen who answers his master’s call with folded arms. I am the Master”. It’s a fitting reply to his detractors as well who have been constantly writing him off since the Baba debacle.
But the team of Kabali reserves the biggest surprise element for the last few seconds as the super star takes us on a nostalgic trip to the 90’s with his signature style statement.
Now let me talk about the other 3 heroes in the teaser. The director Ranjith himself for giving us subtle signs of what is to come with small revelations in the background, Santhosh Narayanan for the fitting back ground score. He might just be the standout musician of the next generation and cinematographer G. Murali for the delightful images.
To sum it up Kabali teaser is a cleverly packaged collage which reminds us what we are missing when we don’t see superstar Rajnikanth on screen. Welcome back thalaiva. We are waiting for more.
