The irony is yet to sink in. How fragile the human mind can be. One of the greatest comic actors of our times chose to end his life. In more ways than one it serves as a lesson too. Humour often masks the torment that lies within and I quote the great Charlie Chaplin here “I have many problems in my life but my lips don’t know that they always smile”. I guess these words sum up the loss of Robin Williams.
The great thing about Robin Williams is everyone who loved Hollywood loved Robin. He was man for all ages. Jumanji- for the kids, Goodwill Hunting, Patch Adams and Dead Poets Society for the rebellious teens and there’s Mrs Doubtfire and Flubber for the entire family. These are just a tiny glimpse of his impressive movie resume.
My eternal favourite would always be Patch Adams. As a doctor who is determined to touch his patient’s life through laughter he’s just adorable. It was an apt reflection of how his laughter touched each and every one of us in one way or the other.
His evergreen smile made this world a better place to live in. His movies gave us a reason to rejoice, celebrate and enjoy the little pleasures of life. For that alone his spirit will always live on in every soul that loves to smile.

Even though Robin’s death was on my mind late last night when I heard the news and today, it didn’t even occur to me to write a posting about him, something I would normally do. So thanks for sharing your sweet tribute to Robin Williams, an amazing and wonderfully delightful actor. <3
